Parking & Access
Parking must be arranged and is the responsibility of the customer. Any parking fines must be paid by the customer to the Driver upon the completion of the job. The customer is also responsible for providing details of height and width restrictions when making a booking.
Where a fixed price has been agreed in advance and access cannot be gained, is delayed or the Driver cannot commence loading or unloading immediately upon his arrival an additional charge will be made.
If your move means we enter the Congestion Charging Zone (07:00 to 18:00, Monday to Friday) an additional charge of £12 will be payable by the customer on completion.
If a move means using a toll road or bridge the customer will be responsible for all toll charges. These include the Severn Bridge (£12.10), M6 (up to £11.00) and Dartford Tunnel (£2.50 06:00 - 22:00.) Local Toll Bridges also apply.
Payment
Unless otherwise agreed payment is due in full on completion. Cheques are only accepted from Businesses and will be subject to an additional handling fee of £7.00. Where we have agreed to raise an invoice, payment will be due strictly within 7 days. We do not accept payments by debit or credit cards.
Cancellation
If you postpone or cancel a fixed price job within 72 hours of the date of the job you will be charged 50% of amount agreed. Where an hourly rate was agreed this will be subject to a maximum charge of £90.00. Please note we take all bookings in good faith and may have turned other work away for the day of your booking.
Fixed Priced Jobs
Where a fixed price has been agreed and it is subsequently found that the items to be moved are more than originally disclosed at the time of booking, we reserve the right to make an additional charge.
If the customer fails to disclose at the time of booking that they are moving from or to a flat above the first floor then we reserve the right to make an additional charge. Likewise, in the event of a lift failure an additional charge will be added to cover the extra labour cost.
It is the customers responsibility to ensure they are fully packed (properly boxed and bagged) prior to the arrival of the van. Where there is a delay in loading/unloading due to loose items or poorly packed items we reserve the right to make an additional charge.
Unless we have agreed in advance we will not dismantle furniture.
Heavy and Bulky Items
Where a 1 man crew has been booked and it is found that items cannot be safely removed by the Driver, with or without assistance from the customer we reserve the right not to move those items. It is the customers responsibility to ask and book a 2 man crew if required.
